Taking the Pentax 67 for a spin…
It’s a bit slow to acquire focus, compared to my 5dMK2, it is slow to save the file to the card,
It needs to go into EVF/Macro mode in order to focus closer, to get the below portraits, for instance.
It’s menu and GUI (the back LCD display) is a bit cluttered…
Its small, beautiful (not as an M9, but still handsome), light, super sharp (slightly hazy at f2.0), almost totally free of CA, admirably clean high ISO for a crop, and a snap to use. Good build quality on metal parts, lens clicks nicely between apertures, focus smooth and such.
It also gets the attention of most on lookers. The total retro look baffles them…
The EVF is crappy, but you need to use it for the “Macro” mode,
the optical viewfinder is gorgeously bright and clear.
If it was without all the above flaws, full frame, changeable lenses, and with a Canon streaker on it, It would grace my equipment drawer.
